Shaken not Stirred

Wondering if your cocktail should be shaken or stirred? A good rule of thumb is that if the cocktail is alcohol forward it should be stirred, ie. old fashioned or martini you want dilution without ice crystals. Shake your recipe to combine ingredients that otherwise might remain distinct. If your recipe contains citrus, dairy, eggs, cream, or syrup, always shake it to mix it fully and achieve a frothy texture!
